At EuroThetic, the same principle guides how we handle your information as how we teach: think before you treat. We ask for only what we genuinely need to deliver your training well, we keep it secure, and we're always ready to tell you exactly what we hold and why.

This policy explains — in plain language — what personal data we process when you visit our websites or book a training, and the rights you have over it.

Who we are

EuroThetic Academy is operated by Eurothetic B.V., Lorentzplein 45, 1171 BB Badhoevedorp, the Netherlands. We are the controller of your personal data.

For anything to do with your privacy — a question, a request or a concern — email us at info@eurothetic.com. A real person will answer.

We handle your data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect

• When you register or book a training: your name, email, phone number and postal address. If your place is paid for by a clinic or sponsor, we also record the company name and VAT number.
• When you pay: your payment is handled by our provider, Mollie. We never see or store your full card or bank details — only whether the payment succeeded, the amount, and the invoice we issue you.
• To confirm you're an eligible clinician: you self-declare your eligibility when you book. Only if we have genuine reason to doubt it will we ask to see proof of your professional registration — and we delete that proof as soon as we've confirmed it.
• As you take part: your enrolment, attendance, course-material progress and any certificate we issue.
• When you accept our policies: the date, the version and your IP address, so we both have a clear record.
• When we email you: the messages we send about your booking, and your replies.
• Quietly, in the background: basic technical logs needed to run and protect the site.

Why we use it

We only use your data for clear, limited reasons:

• to arrange your booking, payment and training and issue your certificate;
• to meet our legal obligations, such as keeping proper invoices;
• to stay in touch about your booking and, if a fee is left unpaid, to follow it up;
• to confirm clinician eligibility and keep our trainings safe and appropriate;
• to keep our systems secure;
• and, only if you've opted in, to send you our newsletter — which you can leave at any time.

Cookies & analytics — privacy by design

We chose our tools deliberately. Our websites use Plausible, a cookieless, EU-hosted analytics service: it sets no tracking cookies, builds no profile of you, and never follows you around the web. We use no Google tracking and no advertising cookies — which is why you won't see an intrusive cookie banner; there's simply nothing invasive to consent to. The only cookies we use keep you securely signed in to the portal.

Who we work with

We share your data only with the trusted providers who help us run the academy, each bound by a data-processing agreement and, wherever possible, based in the EU:

• Mollie — to process payments;
• MailerSend — to send booking and account emails;
• MailerLite — to send our newsletter, if you've subscribed;
• our hosting partners — Hetzner (Germany) for the academy portal and TransIP (the Netherlands) for eurothetic.com.

We will never sell your data or share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

• Invoices and financial records: seven years, as Dutch tax law requires.
• Your account and booking history: while your account is active and for as long as we need it for our relationship, then deleted or anonymised.
• Proof of eligibility: deleted as soon as it's been verified.
• Analytics: aggregated only — nothing personal is kept.

Your rights — you're in control

Your data is yours. At any time you can ask us to:

• show you a copy of the data we hold about you;
• correct anything that's wrong or incomplete;
• delete it, where we're not legally required to keep it;
• limit or object to how we use it;
• hand it over to you (or another provider) in a portable format;
• withdraw consent for anything based on it, such as the newsletter.

To use any of these rights, just email info@eurothetic.com — we'll respond promptly, normally within one month. And if you ever feel we haven't handled your data properly, you're entitled to raise it with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

How we keep it safe

We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), securely hashed passwords, two-factor sign-in for our staff, strict access controls and EU-based hosting.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the version and date at the top, and let you know if the change is significant.
